Usually January is sort of a long, dull month, but this one just flew by. Dave and I have both been very busy at work, so the nights and weekends with Reagan go way too fast.
She has definitely mastered sitting and looks so big playing on the floor with her toys and dollies. She started baby food this month and LOVES eating. She gets so excited when we put her in her high chair because she knows it’s coming and then opens really wide waiting for the first bite. It’s so cute! And I swear she says “mmm” after each bite. So far she has tried squash, sweet potatoes (her favorite), carrots, peas, apple sauce and bananas and loves them all. And she’s still eating her rice and oatmeal also. She’s up to 19 pounds and once again I wonder how she can be so big already.
We also started giving her some water or very watered down apple juice in a sippy cup and she just loves that also. She watches us drink with such intensity and then is so proud when she gets to drink from a “big girl” cup as well. She can hold it on her own, but usually prefers to be lazy and have us hold it for her.
She is still a great sleeper, taking a short nap early morning and late afternoon and a longer one in the middle of the day. She goes right down whenever we put her in her crib. She reaches out and grabs her pacifier, puts it in her mouth and turns her head. She does the same thing when we put her down to bed at night – usually around 7 – 7:30. It’s a long cry from just a few months ago when we really hard to work to get her to fall asleep. When we get her up, she always reaches out to grab and say hello to her little animals on her mobile, her “sleep sheep” and the fishies in her aquarium. She is very into grabbing and feeling everything, especially new and different textures. She also loves to grab onto hair, short or long and she can pull hard!
So far she doesn’t seem interested in trying to crawl or scoot, but I am in no rush. But we did realize that we do need to baby proof soon because it isn’t that far off. It is just crazy how quickly everything happens!

oh she is so cute! Isn't it so fun when they can sit and play on their own? Crawling isn't that far off. I can't believe how fast it all goes, everyone was always saying that, but it is so true it's scary! :) Have fun with that little sweet babe!I know you guys are!
