We have a happy little girl on our hands! Reagan is smiling and babbling and loving all of the new things she is learning! It truly is so neat to “see” the world through her eyes. Who knew flipping on a light switch was such a remarkable thing? But it is so fun to watch her amazement and excitement as a room turns from dark to light just because she pushed a button!
We have had quite a few sessions where she just lets out full-on belly laughs. She makes you feel the funniest person in the world and there is no better sound than her giggling. (There's a video of her laughing at Daddy below.)

She is definitely saying “mama” quite often now, and will sometimes repeat it back to us when we ask her to say it. Her biggest new achievement is waving “bye bye.” She waves with her whole arm, and will do it almost every morning when we leave for work, and often before naps as well. It is so cute. She has also learned how to pick up a puff and feed herself (they are like little cheerio-type snacks that melt in her mouth so she can’t choke), but she is still mastering this skill and more often than not squishes it between or fingers or drops it on the floor. She is also getting more and more mobile, and wants to pull herself up on her big toys (though she still needs help) and loves to play while standing up.
We are all loving the warmer temperatures. She’s been going on lots of walks and has a little swing and slide out back that a woman at work handed down to us. She likes hearing the birdies and checking out the new flowers and plants sprouting up around our house.
We have also discovered that she really loves music, and she’ll clap our hands while it plays and is even starting to sway a little bit like she is dancing. She also LOVES to play the piano at her grandparents’ houses, and so of course we think she is going to be a little piano prodigy.
Still no teeth to report, which is just amazing to me because the poor girl just drools and sucks on her fingers constantly.
I weighed her a few weeks ago and she is up to 21 pounds! I am just in shock that she is so big and 9 months old already. Wow!
